State of the art equipment in harness with a highly skilled workforce gives us the ability to supply challenging, complex components and difficult to make CNC machined parts and products with extremely close tolerances, improving product performance. We have a large subcontract CNC machining facility, along with a comprehensive range of wire erosion (wire EDM) machinery and capabilities. Our specialist area is in the subcontract machining of complex components and assembly parts used for demanding applications and within harsh environments.

Technical knowledge and flexibility have allowed T &G Engineering to penetrate various market sectors. In an ever-changing industrial world, this flexibility and ability to manage are seen as key strengths.

We are looking for a dynamic skilled CNC Turner to join our team of engineers. The role will involve programming, setting and operating CNC machines.

Key Responsibilities: –

  • Includes all aspects of CNC Turn/Mill Machining.
  • Programming, setting and operating our Mazak Machining Centres.
  • Working on highly complex components with a strict GD&T adherence and being compliance to technical documentation.
  • Use of measuring equipment to check components.
  • Maintaining quality and safety standards ensuring programs and tooling are stored in their correct locations.

Requirements: –

  • Experience as a CNC setter/operator/programmer.
  • Previous experience on CNC Turn/Mill machining centres.
  • The ability to read complex technical drawings with GD&T’s.
  • Aerospace industry experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where general helpfulness and flexibility are essential attributes for this role.
  • A passion for engineering and the appreciation and commitment to achieve our client’s requirements is essential.

Full time hours are 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm (1/2-hour lunch break) and Friday 7.30am to 2.30pm (No lunch break).

Overtime during the week and on Saturday’s are paid at time and a half. A competitive hourly rate of pay will be paid based upon experience, holiday entitlement is currently 23 days per annum, in addition you will be entitled to the English public/bank holidays.

You will automatically be enrolled into the company pension scheme which is subject to normal conditions regarding new employees.
