CNC Grinder
Founded in 1975, T &G Engineering is one of Europe’s foremost high precision subcontract machining companies serving and supporting worldwide customers in aerospace automotive, pharmaceutical, medical, can tooling and special purpose machinery sectors.
State of the art equipment in harness with a highly skilled workforce gives us the ability to supply challenging, complex components and difficult to make CNC machined parts and products with extremely close tolerances, improving product performance. We have a large subcontract CNC machining facility, along with a comprehensive range of wire erosion (wire EDM) machinery and capabilities. Our specialist area is in the subcontract machining of complex components and assembly parts used for demanding applications and within harsh environments.
Technical knowledge and flexibility have allowed T &G Engineering to penetrate various market sectors. In an ever-changing industrial world, this flexibility and ability to manage are seen as key strengths.
We are currently looking for a highly skilled CNC Grinder to join our team. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities: –
- Includes all aspects of CNC Grinding, programming, setting and operating. Our CNC Grinding Machines are Studer’s and T&G are prepared to train an experience CNC Grinder to use all the Studer grinding machines.
- Use of measuring equipment to check components.
- Produce programmes on the machine as and when new products arrive.
- Working on highly complex components with a strict GD&T adherence and being compliance to technical documentation.
- Maintaining quality and safety standards ensuring programs and tooling are stored in their correct locations.
Requirements: –
- Experience in high end CNC grinding is essential.
- The ability to read complex technical drawings with GD&T’s.
- The ability to work on the following machines: CNC Studer Cell has 3 Studer’s S21, S31 & S40 all with C Axis. A brand new S31/1000 Studer Cylindrical Grinder with C Axis.
- Good Organisational skills.
- A passion for engineering and the appreciation and commitment to achieve our client’s requirements is essential.
Full time hours are 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm (1/2-hour lunch break) and Friday 7.30am to 2.30pm (No lunch break). Night shift: Monday to Thursday 8.00pm to 6.00am with overtime from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.
Overtime during the week and on Saturday’s are paid at time and a half. A competitive hourly rate of pay will be paid based upon experience, holiday entitlement is currently 23 days per annum, in addition you will be entitled to the English public/bank holidays.
You will automatically be enrolled into the company pension scheme which is subject to normal conditions regarding new employees.
